2018’s MID-YEAR TOP 20

The year in music so far has been dominated by Rap and R&B, with Drake and Cardi B ruling the charts with 2 songs each in our Mid-Year Top 20. Macklemore and Chris Brown also made waves.

Continuing the popularity of Latin music, Mexican artist Sofia Reyes became a household name all over the globe, from Sweden to Bolivia. The battle for electro pop so far this year was between Calvin Harris’ “One Kiss”, featuring Dua Lipa, David Guetta’s “Flames” featuring Sia, and Clean Bandit’s “Solo” featuring Demi Lovato. Anne-Marie, a previous member of Clean Bandit, also made her solo debut with one of this year’s most infectious tunes with her fun song “2002”.

This year also saw great comebacks by Jess Glynne, Troye Sivan and George Ezra. Jess Glynne now joins the likes of Kylie Minogue and Lady Gaga for creating some of the most infectious songs of all time. She is also feautured twice in our Top 20. Sugarland again rules the country market with their single “Something More”.
